I’ve probably posted the Pablo Neruda poem Sonnet XVII before but I still love it and as such that is the reason for the title.

I still feel like I’m going through a phase of being very busy. When I do stop it’s to eat or sleep. I managed to get some writing done, though, which is good.

A Ghastly New Challenge

As you know, @LadyAntimony has taken to giving out new fiction challenges every month. As this is October, the month where the veil between the living and the dead is at its thinnest, she’s decided on a ghoulishly good challenge to keep us all on our toes.

In a similar vein to the lovely Stevie McCoy’s Tuesday Tales challenges, we have set words to fit into our challenge entries. But don’t think it’s just that simple! They will be creepy caricatures of four different ghastly beings. The first three beings are set, but the fourth is up for choice.

As if that couldn’t be hard enough, Lady A has cranked the word count down to a difficult 250 words.

The Death of Another Summer

Tomorrow is the start of the #DiceGames blog challenge. So that’s a thousand words of fiction for you every Monday this month. I also thought that I started back at work on Tuesday but apparently term begins on Wednesday instead!

So I have an extra day of freedom before I have to don my fluorescent coat and keep pedestrians safe as they cross the road.

Don’t OverByte It. Spring.me, Twit, Or I’ll Facebook Your Mum’s Space

Good morning! You may have noticed that I’ve altered the blog layout a bit. Links are on their own separate page, as is a short about me section and a quick links section to my flash fiction. It took quite a while to get it all sorted into a pleasing fashion. I wanted to make sure that I had everything I needed added in whilst keeping the blog as clutter free as possible. That’s pretty hard to do when you want people to be able to share your blog in other places and keep all your links as well as have a list of recent comments & blogs that you read. I’m hoping that I’ve managed to achieve this. So answers on a postcard (or at the bottom of this post) if you think I have or if you can see improvements to be made.
