Publishing Anniversary, Dad’s Birthday, & Sick Again

So it’s been just over two years since I published my first story, thanks greatly to Katarr Kanticles Press, online as an ebook. That first tome, though short, seems to have been especially well received over time. It was Desecrated Bonds and it marked a journey into the unknown (illustrated below by a shot from the drive to my dad’ birthday meal).

The journey so far has led me to sell seventy books. Maybe that doesn’t sound like a lot, but it’s seventy more books than most people ever sell and it’s seventy more than I’d sold two years ago. And, if I’m honest, I don’t think that’s too bad!

Sydney, Book Trailers & Christmas Wishes

First of all, I’d like to give a little nod to the terrible events that have been unfolding in Sydney. It is a horrible thing for anybody to endure, but the Australians seem to have dealt with it in the best way possible. In fact, more nations should employ the #illridewithyou notion whenever this happens.

If you don’t know what I’m talking about then you should have a read of this article on the subject. A lot of people have also been sharing the above image in regards to the situation. It’s something that we should all adhere to.

Thoughts and sympathies are also with those in Pakistan who are suffering a similar and equally as terrible event. But let us move onto happier words…

Painting To Promo, Almost Done & Halloween!

So here we have the digitally edited version of my finished watercolour piece! What do you guys think? She was created ready to use for a Breaking Cadence promotional piece.

I know she’s not brilliant, but her skin tone looks much better and much smoother after editing. There’s also a lot of alpha transparency on her hair so that when I put her onto a different background it does look more real.
