Publishing Anniversary, Dad’s Birthday, & Sick Again

So it’s been just over two years since I published my first story, thanks greatly to Katarr Kanticles Press, online as an ebook. That first tome, though short, seems to have been especially well received over time. It was Desecrated Bonds and it marked a journey into the unknown (illustrated below by a shot from the drive to my dad’ birthday meal).

The journey so far has led me to sell seventy books. Maybe that doesn’t sound like a lot, but it’s seventy more books than most people ever sell and it’s seventy more than I’d sold two years ago. And, if I’m honest, I don’t think that’s too bad!

One Lovely Blog Award

My writer friend and fellow Katarr Kanticles Press author, Tonya Cannariato (@tmycann) has nominated me for this award. Lord only knows why. I’m not sure that either me or my blog are worthy of being called ‘lovely’.

It’s certainly a blog, though, so I won’t dispute that part. And it does give you seven facts about me that you may or may not already know, so I suppose there is that.

Work is slowing down and the hours are drying up. I guess that’s good for you guys because I have more writing time. That I’m happy about. The lack of work hours, however, means a considerable depletion on my income. But it isn’t advised to stress about these things. We must continue on.

Besides, I am thankful for what I’ve got. A sentiment that was reinforced upon hearing that my fellow Katarr Kanticles Press writer and all round twitter friend, Tonya Cannariato, has sadly lost her beloved husky, Kyra.

So yes. Today writing shall be done on Baying For Blood. I’ve been creating various promotional pieces for it too. In fact, that’s why the blog has a new header image. What do you think?

Vlogging It, Relaxation, Illness & More Work

Well. it’s been a long and arduous week so far. I’ve ended up on shifts at either the very beginning or the very end of the day at work, so tiredness is ruling. Not to mention, I seem to have become the victim of yet another sore throat. That covers two of the title points and goes some way to explaining why the word count for Baying For Blood hasn’t increased lately. Hopefully, the illness will ease then I can get some scribbling done.

On another note, I did speak about doing a vlog after my friend and fellow writer Andy P Wood had started with his #Walkcast vlogs. Where I live, there aren’t many places to go walking except for the beach, which is usually very busy unless it’s raining or windy so a walking vlog wasn’t really something I could do.
