Illness, Father’s Day, Paperbacks, & Designs

Last week has been a bit of a rough one for both myself and Mr Bear. Somebody at work delightfully decided to share their cold with me, which I started coming down with at my friend’s 50th. Sadly, I didn’t realise quite how bad it was going to be. The illness that is, not the party.

I ended up with a terribly sore throat that progressed into sneezing, mucus, and just generally being unwell coupled with some heavy duty cramps on my only midweek day off. In regards to that, I confess that not a lot has been achieved on my part. Mostly, I was just cuddling a hot water bottle and feeling sorry for myself.

What productivity I did achieve was to design some new bits and pieces for my Zazzle shop. The shop holds a lot of designs in regards to official merchandise of my books, but now I’ve also created a subsection called Bookish Bits, where you can get pieces with book related designs on them. My favourite by far is the Drink Me rabbit inspired by Alice In Wonderland.

Of course, there are other designs over there and you should check them out. I promise that I try to keep the prices on them as low as possible, but there is a limit as to how low Zazzle will allow me to go.

Grindstone, Writing, Creativity, & Future Plans

So, it’s back to work for me. At the day job anyway. I’ve spent my weeks off relaxing and spending more time with Howard Bear. Sadly that came to an end at the beginning of this week as he had to go back to the grindstone, too. It’s been especially hard adjusting to him not being home so much this time for some reason.

I wish we could spend more time together more often, but alas our work is so very different that we usually spend a lot of time apart. One day, I hope it won’t be like that, but for now it is and, just like many couples, we’ll have to deal with that.

However, that doesn’t make it any easier to bear.

Anxious Bruises, Interviews, Tees & Love

Firstly, I apologise to everybody who was waiting for a blog post on Thursday. You are quite right, they were my usual days for posting a weekly update, but I was at work this Thursday and had little time when I came home to create a post.

Friday I visited parents after work and Saturday I was there all day. Yesterday was a morning shift followed by cuddling up to Howard Bear and relaxing (well, it is nearly Valentine’s Day!).

So, as you see, I’ve been too busy to find the quiet time necessary to write this post for you, guys. Today, however, is a day off so I can tap away in relative quietness – bar our cats demanding to come in or go out. The latter totally disrupts my flow, but without being able to fit a cat flap there’s nothing I can really do.

And Barley is very persistent when he’s at the window, believe me.

Book Merchandise, Birthdays & Time Off

Exciting news, guys! You can now purchase some merchandise from my online store! It’s a new little venture so that you guys can own pieces relating to the books.

As you can see, these are items that will be made to order. This one has a quote from Breaking Cadence and can also be purchased in a shade of pink! There are other pieces relating to other books too!

I know, I know… I’m using a lot of exclamation marks, but it’s exciting being able to create other things for my readers to see. Unfortunately, there won’t be a lot of earning from this merch, but it is nice to be able to give a little more to my readers.
