Pet Death, Books Make The Best Presents, & Progress

It’s my sad duty to announce that my mum’s cat and my secret admirer, Baby, passed away last Monday (23rd November). He was about ten years old and, despite the sadness of his last few weeks, he was a wonderful cat.

Yeah, he did have an unfortunate name, but he also had brilliant hunting skills, a really annoying meow, penchant for dribbling when he was excited, and liked to demand a lot of attention. He also had three little dogs whipped right into shape.

Above is my favourite photo of him. It’s old, but it shows perfectly what a handsome, whiskered gentleman he was.

New Release Feedback, Hearts, & Hopes

As you are all no doubt aware, Forgiving Zander was released last week on Friday. I have to say that it was a much better launch than I anticipated and I am glad for those readers who waited up to purchase a copy.

That’s right, for the first time ever, I had a reader waiting for midnight in order to get their copy. It really is such an honour to me that anyone would want to do that with one of my books.

I’ve even had a few new copies of the first in the series, Breaking Cadence, sell since I lowered the price to honour Forgiving Zander’s release. I hope those of you that bought them & have/are reading them really do enjoy them.

To make things even better, Forgiving Zander has its first review up on Goodreads, too!

Views, Book Trailers, TBRs & Flash Fiction

Page view watching has become a hobby at the minute. Not that it hasn’t always been a hobby, but at the moment I’m quite addicted. It’s especially lovely at the moment because my blog seems to be getting so much interest. Thank you for that, guys.

I don’t know what I’ve done to attract so much interest, but I’m glad it’s there. I mean, the whole of May hit more than 3k views on the blog. It hasn’t done that since January and before that it was consistently lower. I’m hoping that I can go back to the highs of 2010 and 2011 when page views were consistently higher than 3k every month.

Maybe that wasn’t by a lot, but at least it was something. And something is always good.
