A Round Up & The Future

I know I haven’t made a blogpost in quite a while, but I was hoping that my new website would be up and running before now. Unfortunately, it’s not. However, it will be ready in time for the release of Lightning & Power, the third instalment of the Indigo Skies series.

And I’m hoping that the release will be early to mid September, depending on how long it takes for cover creation and other bits and pieces of the release process to be completed.

Aut Vincere Aut Mori

The funeral was yesterday. It was a beautiful service. There was laughing and there was crying – a true celebration of a life.

I’m not sure what else to write this week as just a journal entry. I’m sure there’s so much I could tell you, but there’s so much that I don’t know how to say. I don’t really want to talk about the funeral.

Maybe it’s because it’s too soon or maybe it’s because there are certain things I need to internalise before I can really express anything about it.

Everybody’s Fine

And nobody is.

That seems to be the theme right now. In case you didn’t read the beginning of the last post, a friend died on Sunday evening. He was a good guy and I went to school with him. Poor sod even took care of me when I was paralytic and distraught at one point in the past few months. I’ll never forget him for that. I really needed that half an hour or so of company and he wasn’t about to let me go anywhere on my own until I’d calmed down.


[And we all know he’ll be hitting on the angels by now.]

I hate thinking of that night for how distressed I was. It was probably one of my lowest points in this whole shitty charade (excuse my language).

Once, I touched your skin. And you didn’t seem to mind.

Now I touch your skin but neither of us can feel it.

They say fools rush in where angels fear to tread. I wonder how they knew and why it came to be said, sadness in my eyes as I stare at you from across the table.
