It’s been a long while since I updated this blog. There’s no exciting reason for that beyond my doing a lot more at my day job. It’s also been over a year since my last book release, which is quite a sad state of affairs. I’m sure you agree.
Hopefully, this year will be different.
Jobs & More Jobs…
As you can see, I’ve been working on a new book, Alpha Domination, which, you may have guessed, is a werewolf fantasy story. It came to me in a dream, just as some of my previous novels have, too. This one has been written in between many long shifts at my day job, so it has taken perhaps longer than other books.
2019 has been a year of hard work. Both at the day job and at home with the beginning of 2020 starting the countdown to our nuptials in spring.
We’ve been busy filling the garden with plants and decorating the house with love. The hallway is painted and has a new laminate floor, except for the stairs which we’re trying to find a nice carpet for. So, all in all, it’s just waiting for a few finishing touches now. The kitchen has had new light fittings put up and the cupboards have had a lick of paint. I’ve bought paint for the walls in the last few weeks, but haven’t had a chance to start with it, yet. Mr Bear wants to smooth the uneven plaster, first, anyway.
Almost There…
We are four months, three weeks, and a day away from our wedding day. The closer we get, the more I worry that everything won’t be sorted in time, despite how proactive I’ve tried to be in getting everything sorted and ready.
I’m supposed to have some kind of hen do/thirtieth birthday party in February, but we’ll see how that goes.
Medication…
My migraines have had a larger impact on me this year than most. As regular readers know, I suffer from hemiplegic migraines, though not as badly as some do. Mine are occasional, but rather devastating when they occur. And this year I had a cluster of them around autumn, when I really could have done without them. This means that I’m now taking amitriptyline every day to try to stop future occurrences. The problem is, I don’t know whether they have stopped due to the amitriptyline or if they stopped simply because the crazy, autumnal air pressure settled.
I guess I will see in spring when everything shifts again.
To The Future…
So, hopefully, all our plans for 2020 will blossom. And I hope yours will, too.
Happy New Year!
