So What Is Taste Of Blood About?
Taste Of Blood follows a detective and half necromancer, Violet Eonsen. We’ve met her before, plenty of times, in the Indigo Skies series, where she practices as a private investigator in a future full of supernaturals. But in Taste Of Blood, it’s a trip back to the past that will turn her world upside down when an old enemy tries to tamper with death and time…
With death on the cards & time ticking out, a taste of blood is the least of a necromancer detective’s worries…
Wrenched from her comfort zone & flung into the past, supernatural being & private investigator Violet Eonsen must catch a vampire hellbent on revenge before the present is erased for good.
Trying to keep the timeline untouched is one thing, but dealing with an up spike in her supernatural abilities is another. Bursts of magic & uncontrollable reactions to death aren’t easy to hide. Can she keep both in check whilst under Simon’s watchful eye & still foil the villain?
Dragged along for yet another adventure he never wanted, Simon is fighting not only to keep his present intact, but to make sure crazed vampire Lia doesn’t murder his past self. Maybe then he can choose his own path in time.
Can the duo defeat Lia once more? Or is this case more than they both bargained for?
& why does Violet feel like it’s not just the vampire watching her every step…?
Do I Have To Read The First Four Books First?
Of course not. As with every series, it does help, but Taste Of Blood can be read as a stand alone novel.
Having said that, I certainly wouldn’t stop you from grabbing copies of the other four books in the series. In fact, I’ve got the first book, Preying On Time, at a lower price to help ease you in!

Will Taste Of Blood Be Paperback, Too?
Of course it will!
Unfortunately, as my paperbacks are published through Createspace, they will not be on preorder. They should, however, be available to purchase on or shortly after April 15th, too.
But if you do get a paperback copy, please take some photos for me! I love to see you guys with your copies of my books. Even if they’re snazzy snaps of your beautiful ereaders in your favourite reading nooks!

What If I Can’t Wait Until April 15th?
Then, for now, this is all I can give you:
Lia cackled in derision at the space where Simon had vanished. My mouth contorted, skewed in ghoulish recognition of the new horror that had befallen us. She rounded on me, my gun, the gun Simon had been holding, clasped in her hands. She must have caught it when I’d knocked him off his feet.
“Looks like your friend is going to die twice.”
Then she smirked and dived through the portal before I had a chance to stop her, her body disappearing into the whirling, voluminous blue. With my gun. Fuck.
My heart sped up. Panic set in. The machine was making a noise, warning it was going to shut down. It had transported two people, already. Could it support transporting one more? Red lights started flashing on the console. My wide eyes snapped from the portal to the door. A lump formed in my throat. What if there was no way back?
Gritting my teeth, I launched myself into the portal and closed my eyes.
However, in the lead up to release day on April 15th, I will share some excerpts with you as I always do. These will be the first few chapters and hopefully they’ll get you as excited as I am about Taste Of Blood!
Will Taste Of Blood Be The Last Book In The Indigo Skies Series?
Fear not, fearless readers, I currently have plans for at least two more books in the series after Taste Of Blood. I also have ideas about other stories, too.
However, as always, you can keep track of my writing progress by following this blog or, for PC and tablet users, by clicking over to the home page of this site where wordcount meters sparkle away on the right hand side. Unfortunately, you can’t see the latter on mobile – but I promise they are there!
