I know that’s a pretty vague title. I did have a different one (First Review & Halloween Offers), but I feel like getting some things off my chest.
What has happened since the last time we spoke?
Well, nothing really. At the moment, most days seem to blur into one and every day off I have is filled up with some event or some problem I have to fix in relation to the flat or life.
I’m tired. I’m drained. And I’m exhausted.
I haven’t really written since I finished the last book. My intentions were to get a good way into Calling The Wolf now that Lightning & Power is finished, but I simply haven’t had the time. motivation or energy necessary to do so.
Even to my own ears, that sounds like a cop out. It’s not, though. I just can’t seem to cram any more into my life right now and it’s terribly frustrating. I’m actually really looking forward to the months when work will be closed just so I can get work on my writing done.
I’m looking forward to getting the next three books in the Indigo Skies series written. There are also a few more projects that I’d like to spend some time on, but that really depends on how well I do with everything else, too. After all, starting secondary projects cuts in to my writing time for current projects.
Through this tiredness and demotivated haze, however, I realise that I should be talking about how Preying On Time is available for only 99c over at Smashwords with the code RW44w. So if you haven’t checked it out already then you should!
Of course, Preying On Time is the first book in the Indigo Skies series. You don’t have to read it before Lightning & Power but it might help.
I’m not the only Katarr Kanticles Press author with a Halloween book offer on either. In fact, you can also snag the first book of Gayla Drummond‘s Discord Jones series for only 99c, too!
I also need to point out the rather marvellous review that I got on Goodreads & Amazon for Lightning & Power. The great thing about my new website is that you can see all of my Goodreads reviews on my individual book pages. How snazzy is that?
But here’s a snippet:
This book kept me company on a five and a half hour train journey the other day and I am glad to say I knew nothing of the journey, but enjoyed my time in “Lightning and Power” with Violet and Simon.
I can easily recommend this book to anyone who enjoy’s the genre, but don’t read this without reading books 1 & 2 first.
Pretty good for a first review, I think. And I’m glad that the improvement in my writing is obvious. I’d like to think that I’m getting better as I get older, but I guess we’ll see.
If you have read Lightning & Power, then please do write a review or even simply rate the book. I always love getting to see what my readers think. Anyway, until next week!
