This past weekend, I had my first day at my new job and, as usual, I managed to start on a day that was busier than expected. Of course, I don’t mind at all being thrown in at the deep end. Sometimes it even helps you to know what you should and should not be doing.
It’s definitely different to my last job, but I have to say that I’m already absolutely loving it.
(Also here’s a picture of the robin that visits me)
So far, the people are great to work with and the whole atmosphere is amazing. I feel so lucky that I managed to get a job at such a fantastic place.
Naturally, I’m not going to reveal where I’m working now, but I will tell you that it has been mentioned on this blog before when Howard and I visited last year. I would love to reveal where I’m working now, but I do think that it’s best not to.
After all, if any fans of my work did come through because they knew that was where I was working then I feel it might be a little inappropriate and hamper my ability to serve other customers. So I hope you guys can understand my reasons for not doing a big reveal.
Yesterday was also Mother’s Day and, whilst my new colleagues were busy with the fully booked tea rooms and restaurant, Howard Bear and I went to visit our mothers. Of course, this also meant visiting mum’s dogs and they do so love Mr Bear.
My mum has finally finished reading the Survival Trilogy, too, which is lovely to hear. Especially as she enjoyed the ending. However, she did cheat and read the ending before finishing the rest of the book. Sacrilegious!
I have been steaming ahead with the next two books, as well, so you guys have no need to worry unless I’m impeded by unforeseen circumstances as I was with Delivering Hope.
It’s especially great to note that I’ve had quite a few sales lately. I’m not entirely sure why, yet, but you have no idea how much I appreciate the fact, new readers! It’s been lovely to note that some of you have even been purchasing the Breaking Cadence and then its two sequels not long after!
I really am so, so thankful!!!
Everytime a purchase is made it boosts my books’ listings on the genre lists of Amazon etc, which helps new readers to discover my work too. And the only way you could possibly make that better is by leaving a little review just to let others know how much you enjoyed my work.
After all, other readers love to check out a good recommendation.
And talking about checking things out, these are my bird pictures of the week…
These guys all like to visit me at my window almost every day. All of these were taken with my beautiful semi-professional Nikon camera. It’s a cool camera because it can send the photographs through WiFi, meaning I can grab them on my phone to share straight to my instagram account. Incidentally, you should follow me there if you want to see more of my snaps more often.
And that’s about it for this week’s round up! Hope you’re all well, too. And let me know what you guys did for Mother’s Day and if you have any cool bird snaps, too!

I love birds and pups. What are sales? Haven't had any of those lately.
