This week has meant an extremely unfortunate lack of hours at my day job. With it entering wintry months we get fewer and fewer customers, so, yes, it’s totally understandable not to get as many hours, but that doesn’t make it any easier on my bank account or the fact that Christmas is blooming over there on the horizon.
As you may have guessed, I really like Christmas. In fact, my tree is up and I have a new Christmas jumper, which is green with a foxy on it! But you can see that…
So yes, without work and with Howard Bear in between jobs (he starts his new one at some point in the next week) we have been busy doing all number of things… mostly Christmas related.
As you can see from Howard’s photo, we’ve put the tree up and it does look rather lovely. We also travelled over to Sheffield and had a not so relaxing day of present buying.
That isn’t to say I hadn’t already started buying presents before Halloween for Howard. But they are now wrapped in pretty paper and settled under our gorgeous tree. There are stockings hung on the bookcase (we don’t have a fireplace), too. It’s all looking very festive.
It even smells festive. I have cinnamon and apple candles and sprays.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year!
Not to mention I’ve been making progress on Forgiving Zander. There has been much writing done and even a promo paint piece created.
Of course, this isn’t as exciting as the wonderful cover design that has been created for the soon to be released Baying For Blood! The awesome Gayla Drummond has created it for me, but I cannot show you yet!
When I get the final copy you can be assured that it will be up here for you excited guys and gals to have a look! I’m so very looking forward to it. I hope you are too.
