Do you guys like the new blog title list format? I’m seeing a lot more hits lately when I post titles like this, but I don’t know if that’s due to the information in the title or just a general garnering of more interest on the web. Of course, it would be lovely if the hits meant more comments too, but I’ll take what I can get.
If you follow me on facebook or twitter, then you may be aware that I’ve been fiddling with the lay out of my books page recently. I wanted to make it a bit more user friendly and add a few more pictures than just a wall of text.
I’m hoping that makes it better for you guys to find exactly what you want a lot more easily. Everywhere you see those ‘cover coming soon’ images on that particular page, I plan to update with actual images as those series progress. If I can, I want to finish Baying For Blood ideally by the end of the year, but we’ll see how that goes. I’m not promising anything because I don’t like to disappoint.
But…
If we do get to the stage where Baying For Blood is nearing completion, I will of course start excitedly posting about it like a mad thing. In all likelihood you guys will get to read snippets along the way. I do post a lot of my WIP lines on tumblr so you are welcome to check them out from time to time. Of course, once it’s completed it’ll have to wait for cover creation and ebook formatting too.
It will probably end up in paperback, too, somewhere along the lines. I know that was also discussed for Breaking Cadence. And, as Preying On Time (which is part of the same series as Baying For Blood) is already available in paperback, I reckon it would be a good step to take.
You may have noticed that Baying For Blood now has a link everytime it’s mentioned, too. The simple reason is that I created a book page for it. That’s up and running now so you can check out the blurb if you like and see how the story progresses from Preying On Time.
As I mentioned, I’m not sure whether the book itself will be completed over the summer. You may have noticed that one of the things listed in the title is ‘work’. Well, with sunny weather here we are getting busier and busier at work. This may mean that I end up with less and less writing time, I’m afraid. And less writing time means less time to finish Baying For Blood.
I wish it didn’t mean that, but there you go. Sadly, the amount I currently earn from writing will not pay any of my household bills, but that’s no reason to give up on my dream.
And this weekend marks two years of Howard Bear putting up with me. He’s even survived just over a year living with me. I think that means he’ll manage the rest of forever too. It seems much longer than just two years, though. I haven’t even gotten to a full year yet of having my books on sale as I mentioned in my last post!
Anyway, I have a little bit of shopping and chores to do before I get down to some #amwriting, so I’d better wrap up this post and say ciao. I may even still consider doing a vlog like everyone else at some point!
Ciao guys!

Well for starters congrats on the progress you've achieved and the updates 🙂
I wanted to ask if the adult in Breaking Cadence includes rape? Or is just bloody scenes and gore? Also, I wanted to check if it includes sex scenes.
Thanks
Thank you! 🙂
It includes the mention of it – it's back story – but it doesn't happen during the book and it never goes graphically in detail. I never wanted to do that, but I wanted to get across the emotional scarring. Hence the warning my publisher and I decided to put at the bottom of the description (I would never want to cause any added upset to anybody who had been in that situation before).
And it does include one sex scene, but, as I said, that is in no way about or part of a rape.
Hope that helps 🙂
