I know they’re a weird bunch of things to list together, but after you’ve read this blog post they’ll totally make sense.
We’ll start with the elves. As you may have noticed, the word count for my anthology piece has finally reached the correct mass. It’s tentatively titled A Dream of Tomorrows, but that could change in the future.
The progress note on it is also swapped to editing instead of writing. That’s because the piece is actually, finally finished and just needs me to go over it before others get to look over it too. I’m quite happy with the piece despite the fact that it’s taken me months simply to settle on an idea.
Elves are also an unusual choice, for me. I prefer more modern fantasy than the way back whens. However, I think it’s worked out really well. Hopefully you guys will think the same. Of course, this particular piece is to be included in an anthology from most, if not all, of the Katarr Kanticles Press writers.
I’ll add it to my books page when we finally have a cover and such, though, so keep your eyes peeled!
And so we move to quarterly reports. quarterly reports are the means by which I’m informed of exactly how many sales I have made, when and where. So far I’ve only had two quarterly reports, which tells you exactly how long I’ve been doing this whole selling my work for actual monies malarkey (not long). There were a couple of queries over the paperback amounts, but we finally figured that out.
Basically, since Desecrated Bonds release in September 2013, I’ve made 25 sales over all – not including two review copies that were handed out.
So far, Desecrated Bonds is the winner of most copies sold. Since its release, at least 10 copies have been sold. I say at least because I don’t know for sure if any more have sold since I received my quarterly reports. And whilst Preying On Time has been out longer, Breaking Cadence is one copy away from matching its sales haul, which is completely thrilling!
Considering that Breaking Cadence has only just been out a month, I’d say that’s pretty good going. So 23 ebook sales and 2 paperback sales are making me a pretty happy bunny.
Until I got the reports, I genuinely didn’t think that I’d even sold anywhere near that amount, which is saddening seeing as I have put so much effort and hard work into these stories with lots and lots of hours squeezed in between keeping our home and working as much as I can so we have more than two ha’pennies to rub together. It’s hard knowing without these reports if anyone has read my work, however, when my longest serving release, Desecrated Bonds, is the only one with any visible reviews to its name!
So please, I beg and implore you, if you do happen to buy a copy please do leave a review to let me know what you think!
Let’s skip over to subject three, anyway: vlogging!
There seems to be a craze to do walking vlogs in the writing world, at the minute. I’m pretty sure this was something started mostly by Ms LM Stull and Mr Buddy Gott, but I know that even the amazing Andy P Wood has jumped on the bandwagon!
I must admit, I am considering doing another vlog. You may or may not be aware that I have done a few on my youtube channel in the past, but none so recently. I suppose that’s probably because I’ve been squeezing in lots of writing as well as working. In fact, I don’t think I’ve done a vlog since so far back as before I moved or before Howard Bear and I got together! Terrible, isn’t it?
I do try to keep you guys informed on here, though! At least I have that saving grace.
I’m sure you guys don’t really want to see me warbling in front of the camera again, anyway. I think it mostly comes across as awkward and embarrassing! But, if you are adamant that you want to see me making a bit of a prat out of myself, then please do let me know in the comments below.
Last but not least…
(Gosh this has been a much longer blog post than usual!)
Signings!
Not in real life, sadly, but near enough. There is a great site on the interwebs called Authorgraph. Now, it is highlighted with a linky for a reason and that reason is that you can ask for your ecopies to be signed by yours truly! It can be personalised too, so if you send me a little note letting me know about yourself or what you’d like it to say, I can tap up a little personal note to you and then sign (sort of by hand) beneath.
It’s a neat little thing that involves using my touchpad to scribble my signature for you guys.
Personally, I think it’s a rather brilliant idea and a lovely way to connect with my fabulous readers even more. So please, click on over there and send me a little message and I will be delighted to do a little personalisation for you, guys!
Anyway, I’ve got to run and pick up Pretty from the garage (yet again) and see how much damage she’s cost me this time. Ciao!

I wouldn't say I'm "amazing", but thank you for saying so hehe. I will get round to buying your books and reviewing them when I have the time 🙂
Ha ha. Then we must have different definitions of 'amazing'! 😉
And that would be really fantastic. Thank you. But I am aware of how very busy you are 😉
