Occasionally, I create random YouTube videos about things. Usually it’s just me blathering on about my life, but somebody very close to me told me to do this one to help people see why they should have a go at #SatSunTails.
I’m hoping it’s achieved that. I’m also hoping everyone who watched enjoyed the video. I’ve had some good feedback so far, anyway.
In other news, I started my new, extra job last Friday. So far things seem to be going well and I’m really quite enjoying it. The staff are all pretty awesome and jovial – so easy to get on with.
The only horrible thing, really, is the karaoke that starts around half eight on the Saturday night. I swear to god they were murdering three cats on Saturday night because I’ve never heard such horrendous singing (and mine is pretty bad).
I also had a rather scary incident on the day I started work there whilst at my regular lollipop lady job. Yeah, that was not fun.
This poor lad fell off his bike and gouged his face with his handlebar. He was just pouring with blood. I had no idea what on earth to do. Nobody had any tissues to stem the blood or anything.
So we ended up getting him into a car with another mum so she could take him home whilst we held onto his bike (this was okayed by the teaching assistant with us who knew the lady taking him). So yeah… exciting and unfortunately gory times.
The lad is alright now, though. He had to have stitches both on the inside of his mouth and on his cheek. Poor kid. We don’t even have an emergency number or anything to call at our crossing. Or any first aid training/equipment. I’m just glad the lad is okay because he’s lovely and I like talking to him when he goes by. He’s so polite and well mannered.
Anyway, that’s my life update for the moment.
