Everything’s Changing

And I don’t feel the same. La la la…

Ahem. I’m sorry you had to walk in on that. Except I’m not. I’m feeling quite bouncy and happy and I’m sure certain people that read this will know why… but as of yet it’s still an almost secret.

But I promise, dear readers, that I’ll tell you soon. In other news… I’ve been doing a lot more photography for that band that I’ve been hanging around with.

You know the ones I mean. Lipstick Sunbeam. As such, I’ll dot this post with some of the pictures that I’ve taken. That way you get to see what I’ve been up to instead of just reading about it.

I’ve also been stopped from wearing my earmuffs at work. Somebody went to the supervisor above my supervisor because they thought I shouldn’t be wearing them. That would be fine if they impaired my hearing, but they don’t. Not only that, but they keep my hat on in high winds.

It might sound silly, but I’d rather have my hat on than off. At least then I can be seen from top to toe as the phrase goes. The thing about motorists is that even small things like that will be used as an excuse as to why they ‘couldn’t’ see you and subsequently ran you or a child over.

But, of course, the drivers are always right. Right?

Sometimes, it seems like my job is more to accommodate the drivers than to help the pedestrians. It can be so frustrating. Today was another of those frustrating days, but this was due to the weather. Walking to work, the streets were relatively clear of fog until I reached the street just before the junction where I work.

The junction was swathed in a wall of fog. I could barely see my colleague across the road from me. I’ve never seen the weather so bad since we started there and, believe me, we’ve had tonnes of bad weather. The horrendous snow that we had last Christmas time?

Yeah… We were working in that.

Of course, my colleague bought me my earmuffs for Christmas after we’d had such horrible weather. I’ve been using them ever since and now I cannot.

And what else have I been up to? Secret things that I cannot tell you yet…

Also, the Dice Games challenge has come to an end, but you can still read my pieces under the Dice Games tags. There are also regular flash fiction posts (one of which is due tomorrow).

I’m pretty tired today and heading for bed shortly after I post this, I’m afraid. As I’ve said, I’ve been hanging around with Lipstick Sunbeam and last night they had yet another gig. I went to see them with my camera, despite the fact it was a school night, and took plenty of photographs.

Earlier today I was adding and tagging them, though, and Facebook mistook me for a spammer. I’m not sure dear old Facey has any idea what’s going on any more. I was completely flummoxed by the new news feeds. I don’t want top stories. I never read them anyway. I just want a recent feed.

But, I have heard, that there are to be changes to the profile layout tomorrow. I guess we’ll see what they do.
