I went out today to buy some flowers for our flat. We’ve decided recently that it’s a nice idea to do so because it makes the place smell and look nice. I did end up buying a plant, but not a bouquet.
In fact, on my way to get a bouquet I made a disastrous turn and ended up in my favourite bookshop. Of course, it was only a disastrous turn for my bank balance as I bought two books (not a great haul but enough to tip my money scale a little again).

My other half tweeted about this earlier. But don’t worry, that’s not what this post is about. I was going to title it ‘All Kinds Of Rubbish’ when I remembered what he’d put and thought you all might enjoy his rather bad joke. This post will be more eclectic than that.
However, I will tell you of our slight bin problem.

Since we moved in there have been no recycle bins in our lot of flats due to previous tenants using them incorrectly. However, a security camera was installed last month to watch over the outside bins.

…Start writing short pieces of fiction again. I used to write flash fiction once a week as I’m sure a lot of you know, but I haven’t done so in quite a while.
It was a great flexing of written skills (which is what I hope to promote in #SatSunTails every week), but I lapsed due to work commitments and home issues.
Now, with the completion of Preying On Time (which is in its second editing stage) & the release of Desecrated Bonds, I feel I should begin again. But I guess we’ll have to see how I go with that considering certain time constraints.
I am, however, hopeful.

And we haven’t accidentally poisoned ourselves, run out of water or had the police called on us by the neighbours yet, which (so I’m led to believe) is good for a first month living under our own command and away from our parents.
