Is This The Good Life? Thoughts On Self Definition

I went for a job interview the other day. I didn’t get it. I’m not terribly sad about it, either. Maybe I should be, but it would have been part time and a thirty minute car journey there everyday, so it’s not a big loss.

But I guess I am having a little trouble defining myself without a paying job to my name. Sadly, being an author doesn’t yet count in that department. Hopefully, one day, it will.

Strawberries & Mud

It’s been a busy, tiring week in new house land. Gardening is taking its toll both physically and mentally. We have tonnes to do.

Of course, it’s decided to rain today, which is not the best weather to be traipsing around a plot of land that is basically just mud. Ergo, nothing much has been achieved.

Grand Finale

So, for the last three years, I’ve been part of a fantastic team at our local Pizza Hut. That’s right, I’m finally revealing the name of the restaurant where I’ve been working. Having now finished there, I feel like I can tell you about it more openly.

It’s been three years of ups and downs with some brilliant team members and even a couple of great managers. I’ve made some great friends and there are a lot of people that I will truly miss working alongside.

Mother’s Birthday, Drawers, & Trying To Word It Up

It’s been a tiring week… And that’s the long and the short of it. Which is exactly how I feel about this particular week. It seems to have been long and arduous but it’s gone by far faster than I would have liked.

But time waits for no man. Or woman.

I’ve had far too many things to do lately. Not least of those was a DIY project that I placed on myself. A little bit of that is now finished, though. As you can see in the picture above, I started to re-cover some chests of drawers in order to make them a little cheerier and a little bit more in keeping with our room.
